Sponsor a Child's Education

The Honduras Outreach Education Program provides scholarships for motivated and qualified students in the Agalta Valley to continue their education beyond the government provided elementary years. Secondary schools charge tuition, and students from the remote valley must board with host families. The expense of education beyond those first six years of schooling puts post-elementary education out of reach of most of our villagers.

Our scholarship program, funded by generous contributions from North American sponsors, supplies tuition, room and board to qualified, deserving students. There are two different ways you can provide a scholarship. For students living too far from the Ranch and not able to attend the Culuco Schools, we offer individual scholarships in increments of either $600 or $250. Often because of the distance between a student's home and the school, it is necessary for students to leave their homes and live with other families in order to attend school. A donation of $600 provides tuition, room & board, and books for these students. For the students that live close enough to a school, a scholarship of $250 provides for their tuition and books while they live at home. For the students that live in close proximity to the Ranch and attend the Culuco schools, a scholarship of $250 provides for their continued education, but in addition helps provide a quality education for 300 students currently enrolled in the school.
